HMP LITE 1.20

LITE is a research study application specifically developed to enhance participant engagement and retention within the LITE HIV prevention study. Its primary objective is to bolster adherence to pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) among participants by fostering ongoing interaction with the platform. This is facilitated through features such as weekly messages that illuminate key functionalities of the app, a gamified economy that rewards users with badges for completed activities and achieved milestones, and a commitment to continuously evolving content and activities, ensuring the platform remains engaging and relevant.

The application represents an adaptation of HMP, which addresses a broad spectrum of health and lifestyle topics, catering to the diverse backgrounds and needs of its users over time.

The HMP app was developed by Dr. Lisa Hightow-Weidman, a public health scientist. The study's principal investigators include Dr. Sybil Hosek and Dr. Audrey French from Cook County Health, along with Dr. Lisa Hightow-Weidman from the Institute on Digital Health and Innovation at Florida State University’s College of Nursing.
